AWARD TO GOVERNMENT SERVANTS
“Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration”
The Government has instituted “Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration” with a view to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary and innovative work done by Government servants/organizations of the Central / State Governments, Districts, Urban Local Bodies, etc. The awards are given for excellence in implementing identified Priority Programmes of Government of India as well as in Innovation in public governance.
In the selection process, one of the evaluation parameters under the award scheme is to obtain feedback in the shortlisted districts/implementing units from beneficiaries/stakeholders through a Call-Centre setup for the purpose.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh in written reply to a question by Smt. Pratyusha Rajeshwari Singh in the Rajya Sabha on 15.3.2018.
