Revision Of Honorarium For Ayurvedic And Homeopathic Doctors In Railways
Ayurvedic/Homeopathic dispensaries under Staff Benefit Fund (SBF) — Revision of honorarium of Doctors
No. 1/8 (A/H)
Dated: 15/07/2017
The Secretary (E),
Railway Board,
New Delhi
Dear Sir,
Sub: Ayurvedic/Homeopathic dispensaries under Staff Benefit Fund (SBF) — Revision of honorarium of Doctors-reg.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter No. E(W)2016/ISM/9 dated 07/07/2017.
While appreciating the Railway Board for its decision for revision of honorarium for Ayurvedic/Homeopathic Doctors in Railways, the Federation observes that the increase granted is very much inadequate.
The Ayurvedic/Homeopathic Doctors have been treating the Railway patients with devotion. These Doctors are unfortunately not entitled for Dearness Allowance or any other monetary benefits as they are not part of regular staff. While the Government employees’ salaries have been revised, applying 2.57 multiplying factor with effect from January 1, 2016, the case for revising honorarium to Homeopathic/Ayurvedic Doctors has however been dealt in a very unfair manner. These Doctors are highly qualified and committed to serve the patients, therefore they deserve to be motivated by granting higher amount of honorarium with retrospective effect.
NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to kindly review for upward revision of honorarium to Homeopathic/Ayurvedic Doctors to the reasonable level (i.e. not less than Rs. 45000/- per month).
Yours faithfully
(Dr. M. Raghavaiah)
General Secretary
