The Union Public Service Commission has declared final results of Civil Services Examination (CSE), 2017. A total of 990 candidates (750 men and 240 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various Services as per following break-up:

Result of two candidates has been withheld.
UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments on the working days between 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours in person or over telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543. Result will also be available on the U.P.S.C. website i.e. http//www.upsc.gov.in. Marks will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of Result.
Shri Durishetty Anudeep (Roll No. 156266) has topped the Civil Services Examination, 2017. He belongs to OBC category. He qualified the examination with Anthropology as his optional subject. hHe has graduated with BE (Electronics & Instrumentation) degree from BITS, Pilani.
Ms. Anu Kumari (Roll No. 48547) is the topper among the female candidates securing an overall Second rank. She has graduated with BSc (Hons) in Physics from Delhi University and has done MBA (Finance & Marketing) from IMT, Nagpur.
The top 25 candidates comprise of 17 men and 08 women.
Educational qualification-wise the top 25 candidates are from Engineering; Sciences; Anthropology; Management; Law; Mathematics; Medical and Commerce background graduating from premier Institutions of the country such as IITs, NIT, NLU, BITS Pilani, NSIT, DU, Mumbai University, PEC, ICAI, Pune University, etc.
Optional subjects of the top 25 candidates in the examination ranged from Anthropology, Commerce & Accountancy, Economics, Geography, Law, Maths, Physics, Political Science & International Relations, Sociology, and Malayalam Literature.
The recommended candidates also include 29 Physically Disabled persons (09 Orthopedically Handicapped; 08 Visually Challenged and 12 Hearing Impaired).
Ms. Saumya Sharma (Roll No. 3674), a Physically Disabled person, with hearing impairment, has secured an overall Ninth Rank.
The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2017 was conducted on 18th June, 2017. 9,57,590 candidates applied for this examination, out of which 4,56,625 candidates actually appeared. 13,366 candidates qualified for appearance in the Written (Main) Examination held in October – November, 2017. Of them, 2568 candidates qualified for the Personality Test conducted in February – April, 2018.

On the basis of the result of the written part of the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018 held by Union Public Service Commission (U.P.S.C.) on 7th January, 2018, the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2018. The result is also available on the U.P.S.C.’s Website http://www.upsc.gov.in.
The candidature of these candidates is purely provisional at all the stages of the examination subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. The candidates declared qualified are required to appear in the Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2018 to be held on 1st July, 2018. The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Engineering Services Examination, 2018 issued by the Ministry of Railways and the Examination Notice No.01/2018 dated 27.09.2017 issued by the Commission which is also available on its Website. The candidates may download their e-admit cards from the Commission’s Website around 3 weeks before the commencement of the Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2018. Candidates are also informed that marks and cut-off marks of Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018 will be uploaded on the Commission website i.e., www.upsc.gov.in after the entire process of Engineering Services Examination, 2018 is over i.e. after the declaration of final result of Engineering Services Examination, 2018. No request for change of Centre/discipline for Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2018 will be entertained under any circumstances.

The following are the lists, in order of merit, in respect of 232 (181*+ 51 ^) candidates who have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2017 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the (i) *Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for 107th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) and (ii) ^Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 21st Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course, commencing in April, 2018. The list of 107th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).
2.The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government, for (i) 107thShort Service Commission Course (for Men) is 225and for (ii) 21stShort Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course is 11.
3.The results of Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is Provisional. Verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualification of these Candidates will be done by Army Head Quarter.
4.Candidates can also obtain information regarding results by accessing to UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of the candidates will be available within 15 days from the date of declaration of final results on Commission’s website for 30 days.
5.Union Public Service Commission has a Facilitation Counter near Examination Hall Building in its Campus. On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017 held by the Union Public Service Commission from 28th October, 2017 to 3rd November, 2017, the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for Personality Test for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).
Candidature of these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, physical handicap and other documents such as TA Form, etc. at the time of their Personality Test. The formats of SC/ST/OBC and PH certificates and TA Form, etc. can be downloaded from the website of the Commission. They are, therefore, advised to keep the said documents ready with them.
Personality Test of these candidates is likely to commence from 19th Feb, 2018. Personality Tests will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. The e-Summon Letter of Personality Test of candidates being called for Interview may be downloaded from the Commission’s Website http://www.upsc.gov.in from 18th Jan, 2018. The candidates who are not able to download e-Summon Letter for Personality Test, should immediately contact the office of the Commission through letter or on Phone Nos. 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543 or Fax No. 011-23387310, 011-23384472. No paper Summon Letters will be issued for the Personality Test/Interview by the Commission. The date and time of Personality Test will not be intimated to the qualified candidates individually.
No request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test intimated to the candidates will be entertained.
At the time of filling up of Detailed Application Form (DAF), Cadre Preferences were not obtained from the candidates qualified for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017 and it was inter alia mentioned in Column 18 of DAF that the Revised Cadre Policy was under consideration in the Government (Department of Personnel & Training) for the All India Services. The Government has since issued the Cadre Allocation Policy on 05.09.2017, which is available on the DoP&T’s website. In accordance with this Revised Cadre Allocation Policy all the candidates, who have qualified for Personality Test (Interview), are requested to fill up the Addendum to DAF Online for submitting their Zones & Cadre Preferences. The Addendum to DAF will be made available on the Commission’s website from 16/01/2018 to 29/01/2018 (06:00 P.M.). Candidates are advised to visit the website of Department of Personnel & Training at the link http://persmin.gov.in/AIS1/QrvCA.asp for perusing the Cadre Allocation Policy-2017. They are also advised to go through the details of the Cadre Allocation Policy 2017 extremely carefully before submitting their preferences for Zones as well as Cadres there under. The preferences once opted and submitted cannot be modified or changed at a later stage. Therefore, the candidates are advised to exercise due diligence while filling up the preferences for Zones as well as Cadres there under. If a candidate fails to submit the Addendum to DAF by last date/time, it will be considered that the candidate has no preference to make for Zones & Cadres and no request shall be entertained in this regard.
No request for any type of change/modification of information already supplied in DAF would be entertained by the Commission. However, wherever necessary the candidates are advised to notify changes in their address/contact details only, if any, to the Commission immediately through letter, email (csm-upsc@gov.in) or Fax at numbers indicated above within 7 days of publishing this Press Note.
All the qualified candidates are required to fill up the Attestation Form online and submit the same ONLINE which would be made available on the website of the Department of Personnel & Training from the 19th Feb, 2018 till the conclusion of Personality Test (Interview) on the link http://persmin.gov.in/AIS1/WelcomeCSE.asp. Therefore all candidates qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) are advised to fill it up online within the prescribed time limit. For any query / clarification regarding Attestation Form the candidates should contact Department of Personnel & Training on E-mail ID: doais1@nic.in, ashishm.more@nic.in, or telephone nos. 011-23093683, 23092158, 23040335.
The marks sheets of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting Personality Test) and will remain available on the Website for a period of 60 days.

DECLARATION OF WRITTEN RESULT THEREOF
On the basis of the results of the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2017 held by the Union Public Service Commission on 19th November, 2017, 8692 candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence, for admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 145th Course commencing in July, 2018 (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course commencing in July, 2018 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (204 F(P)) commencing in August, 2018 (iv) Officers Training Academy, Chennai 108th SSC Course (NT)(for Men) commencing in October, 2018 and (v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 22nd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in October, 2018.
2. The candidature of all the candidates, whose Roll Numbers are shown in the lists below, is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) etc. claimed by them along with attested copies thereof, to Army Headquarters, A.G.’s Branch/Rtg./CDSE Entry Section for males and SSC Women Entry Section for women candidates, West Block-III, Ground Floor, Wing 1, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice and to IHQ of MoD (Navy), DMPR (OI & R Section), Room No.204, ‘C’-Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 in case of Navy as their first choice, and to PO 3 (A) Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 in case of Air Force as their first choice. The original Certificates are to be submitted within two weeks of completion of the SSB Interview and not later than 13th May, 2018 for AFA and not later than 01st July, 2018 for IMA and not later than 01st July, 2018 for admission to NA (1st October, 2018 in case of SSC only). The candidates must not send the original Certificates to the Union Public Service Commission.
3. All the candidates who have successfully qualified in the written exam are required to register themselves online on the Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of announcement of written result. The successful candidates would them be allotted Selection Centres and dates, of SSB interview which shall be communicated on the registered e-mail ID. Any candidate who has already registered earlier on the site will not be required to do so. In case of any query/Login problem, e-mail be forwarded to dirrecruiting6-mod@nic.in.
4. In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to the Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters as the case may be.
